Jake & Vienna Split: Whatever happened to Death Do Us Part?

Television

For the ABC hit shows, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, the couples who are last standing sure do not stay together forever or
for that matter even a few months.  This is especially true for Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi who split just 3 months after getting
engaged on national television in front of millions of viewers.

First, there were so many red flags.  The fans knew the couple would not make it for several reasons.  One being, Vienna had a very haunting past.  The lies, if they were really lies were spilling out all over the place.  If it wasn’t her ex telling stories, it was the media.  But, I, an eager fan didn’t believe the spew of bull that came from her mouth as the episodes aired and was more
inclined to listen to the media.

Too bad for Jake, he really seemed like a nice guy who had his head on his shoulders, that is until his true colors were exposed and the real Jake appeared after the show had come to an end.  For Jake to choose Vienna was a shock to the entire audience watching the final rose ceremony.  No one could expect that he would actually pick a girl like Vienna.  He must have been thinking with his other head, if you know what I mean.

For Vienna, reports have stated that she seemed happy about the split.  Actually, daddy’s little girl was seen at the Platinum Image Salon with a very big smile from ear to ear the day before the news broke according to People Magazine.  I can honestly say that I am not surprised to hear this.  I actually thought they wouldn’t have lasted a month, but thanks to Dancing with the Stars, Jake had to be on his best behavior.

I think shows like the Bachelor are making a bad name for themselves.  Let’s face it, Trista and Ryan are the only couple that lasted and are a real icon to what a family is really about.  Trista was truly looking for love and went after her heart.  I am sure that every day is not gravy for them, but they believe in true values and morals not like others that have been a contestant supposedly searching for their soul mate.

I don’t mean to be so harsh, but I again as a viewer, I am very disappointed about the outcome that this show is portraying.  It saddens me to see people are so quick to get a divorce and not take their vows seriously.  Statistics show that over 50% of married couples end up in divorcing.  I believe that you should truly know the person before you accept an engagement ring, and be highly committed to staying together forever.  Relationships come and go, but real love and being able to find your true soul mate should be one time and one time only.  Thanks again for reading, till death do us part through a lamb’s eyes.
