Unimaginable Wealth – Bel Air Mansion Sells for possible $72 million

Business

With 6 out of 10 homes going into foreclosure this year, do you believe it is a good thing that a Bel Air Mansion has been sold for at least $47 million dollars?  The reason I ask is because Le Belvedere, a custom clastic stone chateau sold to an anonymous Indonesian businessman on June 4, 2010.  The lavish estate was originally placed on the market for $85 million in the beginning of 2009, but then was quickly reduced to $72 million due to little activity.

The extravagant timeless masterpiece was constructed and designed in 2006 by the famously known developer and previous owner to Ritz Carlton Hotels, Mohamed Hadid.  The Real Estate guru built the French inspired home originally for personal use, but knew that he would eventually make some profit once he decided to sell.  Sometime in May of this year, the home was put into Escrow and taken off the market and the sale was shortly secured.

Too much surprise, the 48,000 square foot manor, Le Belvedere covers over 2.2 acres and is complete with 10 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms.  1.5 acres of the property are made up of lush green grounds full of breathtaking gardens maintenance free.  Luxurious amenities to include a few; an infinity pool, a swan pond, gym, 12 car garage, 19 fireplaces, a three flight elevator, a formal dining room which seats 22 people, a 60 seat theater room, an intimate dining area with wine cellar, which holds 5,000 bottles, a grand ballroom, a game room and a kitchen in the heart of the plantation that accommodates 200.  The home has a Turkish feel with floor to ceiling Moroccan lustrous tiles.  I don’t believe there is anything that this home does not have.

Hadid designed the property to have a secure feeling and enclosed the estate with a Jerusalem stone wall 36 foot high.  This mammoth of a house can really make the average home look like peanuts in size.  We could only ever dream of owning a home so extravagant.  Thank you for reading unimaginable wealth through a lamb’s eye.
