Who is in the U.S. Billionaires Club?

Business

Out of the entire 793 billionaires that the world is prevalent to, 403 billionaires are in the United States.  In 2009, most of the richest billionaires decreased in wealth due to the economy and the downfall in the real estate market.  Today, the average billionaire has $3 billion of net worth, which is down by 23%.  These investors make up for 44% of the billionaire’s fortunes in the world.

Even though there has been a decrease in the amount of billionaires, there were actually 38 wealthy people who joined the group last year.  Therefore, fewer people are gaining in richness and others are just trying to maintain their status and wealth with much effort.  Don’t worry, this will not last long, once the economy improves, the poor will not be as poor and the rich, well they will be richer of course.

Due to the decline, some people are saying that this couldn’t have been avoided no matter what the circumstances were, so unfortunately there is always going to be a downturn in the economy.  With bank foreclosures happening all over the country, banks have had to implement stricter guidelines for improving loans, but this has not helped the majority of investors who put the cash in the bank’s pocket to give you the opportunity to borrow and purchase your home from the bank.

You might be mad that there are so many billionaires in the world, but the majority in some way or another, are actually helping the middle and lower classes.  I am sure that you have heard that Bill Gates is no longer ranked as the richest person in the world.  In March of 2010 Gates took a huge loss along with Warren Buffet, which was a setback for both billionaires.  William Gates is now ranked the 2nd richest man and Warren Buffet is ranked the 3rd in the world.  The self made billionaire, Carlos Slim Helu from Mexico rose to the 1st richest man in the world with a net worth of $53.5 billion.

Bill Gates should regain his title as the richest man in 2011 according to businesses who urge everyone to continue spending.  If we stop spending, we could possibly make our economy worst, which is hard for me to believe.  In recent years, a freeze in spending has caused detrimental loss in the world of billionaires.
