Problems with Twitter Accounts and Twittering Fans Ask Why

Twitter

Twitter’s servers have caused big problems for Twittering Fans across the globe.  It seems that twitterers cannot view their new messages on the twitter mobile homepage or through Twhirl, etc.  The social networking blog has currently allotted a certain number of mobile and PC applications to access data directly to its integrated program also known as the API (application programming interface).  This causes your messages to be un-viewable because your new messages are above the server’s capacity.

Even high profilers, such as Roger Ebert who is a now a huge Twitter advocate cannot obtain his messages.  There is a third-party company involved with the software aspects of the program which uploads the data to your computer, which allows you to view the message.  This is a work in progress and should be fixed soon according to Twitter’s help center.

Overall, once the problem is fixed, it will be a breakthrough for third- party Twittering applications and services because you will be able to collect maximum data, like messages for your personal use.  With all the traffic that is obtained on the web, this was bound to happen.  I am glad that they are doing something to resolve the issue and create stability in the future, so this doesn’t occur again.

In the meantime, you can continue to tweet as much as you want and will not receive any errors or any irretrievable tweets from your twitterers.  Twitter is not going to limit tweets, like they have limited personal messages for you on your mobile phone or through other third party service companies.  Therefore, at this time use your twitter account directly through twitter.com if you are experiencing any problems.  They are working extremely hard to keep their servers running, so there is no downtime involved with your usage.  For any other updates, go to @TwitterAPI.
