No one person knows when their time is up, only God knows and for Abriana, her life due to cancer may cause her time to be short. This story really touched my heart and it is really hard to find the right words to express the love that a child brings to one’s life. At such a young age, why does cancer have to invade a pure and innocent body? Germ cell cancer which is newly diagnosed is prominent in about 2.4 children out of 1 million, so it is an extremely rare cancer. Abriana has been effected by germ cell cancer and may not have long to live. Even though she has this uncommon cancer, she lives life with a smile. She enjoys wearing little dresses just like other little girls her age and spends much of her time with her family.
You may not know that Germ cell cancer is a neoplasm and derives from germ cells, not bad bacteria, but germ cells which typically occur or are found in the gonads of the body. Unknown where the cancer came from, researchers are determined to find out more about the cancer and look for a cure. Abriana was diagnosed with germ cell cancer at the age of 1 ½. Just a baby, the hospital was all she knew. Now the age of four, she wants to visit her family in Florida and dreams of experiencing a day at Walt Disney World. Every child needs to meet Mickey Mouse at least once in their life.
Abriana is battling cancer still to this day, she has undergone 16 surgeries and 12 rounds of chemotherapy. Every day is a struggle for her and her family. Rocky also known to Abriana as Deda ask if she could go to Florida to see her family, but because the cost is so expensive that has not been feasible at this time. Abriana is a little fighter and knows she is sick, but unaware of what cancer really is. She wants to be normal like every other little girl her age, but at this moment this is not possible. Please help Abriana anyway you can, we would love to make her dreams come true. You may contribute to her fund via Paypal: abrianasfight@yahoo.com. Also please become a fan of her Facebook page.
