No this is a pathetic rumor probably created by a small time celebrity site hurting for attention and publicity. From what we have researched Oprah is alive and well. It has been rumored Oprah Winfrey was hit in the side while exiting Interstate 5 and was pronounced dead on the scene. Everyone take a deep breath and dismiss this false rumor. There have been no valid resources confirming that the false report is true.

I do not understand people’s fascinations with reporting extreme lies regarding high profile celebrities and death. On September 21, 2008 a similar hoax went viral on the web claiming that Oprah was found dead in her Chicago, Illinois home. The site that started the hoax in 2008 got the attention they were looking for; I refuse to list the site here, but it can be found on Wikinews.org.
