Erykah Badu Fined For Nudity

Music

For many months now, Erykah Badu has been under the watchful eye of the media and people. In March, the U.S. soul singer expressed herself by baring it all in her latest music video that has her re-enacting the moment when President John F Kennedy was shot dead in 1963. Keep in mind she was nude while trekking down the street.

Complaints poured in from locals and tourists as a result of her free willed streaking, and some were even offended. The singer was charged with disorderly conduct and now has been ordered to pay a $500.00 fine and commit to 6 months of probation for her latest antics. Personally, I have mixed feeling about this. Should she have been nude flashing her goods in front of children and families? No, but was it blown out of proportion, I would say maybe a little.

It was reported that people all across the country called to express their concerns. John F Kennedy was a favorite president among many who find the video extremely disrespectful. What’s your take on the fine and probation? Do you think it was justified?

If she wants to show the goods let her but why didn’t they close the area down while they were shooting the video?
