X-Frame Electric Vehicle Compact and Stylish

Japan recently unveiled an ultra stylish electric concept car in a recent expo. The car operates solely on electric and folds up like a chair to preserve space. This isn’t your every day family van, but would make a quick and efficient get around vehicle. Initially the concept was created for overcrowded cities; a compact “Green vehicle” would be idea for overpopulated and heavy concentrated cities. The sleek, but yet different compact car was designed by researchers at the Nagoya Institute of Technology.

The vehicle can be folded vertically or parked as normal. Its power source lies in the back wheel where the rechargeable battery sits. Intriguingly the 3 wheel design makes me think back to the old school tricycle that most of us have had at one time or another as kids. Another cool feature is that the seats adapt to the terrain that you are driving on for ultimate comfort. It looks as if you’re lying on a beach chair. As to how fast the vehicle is expected to go, has yet to be disclosed. Although the vehicle looks rad, I’m not so sure how safe it could be if you were to hit a telephone pole. As of now it’s just that a “concept”. Maybe in the near future you can have the latest, coolest new toy on the market.
