It has long been a futuristic concept but I believe technology is ready for greater advances. Imagine waking up a having an autopilot jetpack fly you to work. Soon this will hopefully be a reality and not just for the super hero comic books. Martin Aircraft is working steadfast to make dreams come true. So far the pack was said to be developed for military and emergency services. Martin agreed to a joint venture with an unknown company that supplied 12 million dollars to design and develop and operational jetpack.

The jetpack is said to fly 30 miles in 30 minutes consuming only 5 gallons of gas. The pack can reach heights of 1.5 miles in the air and fly as fast as 64 miles per hour. It does appear to be a little on the bulky side but considering how quickly we revolutionize things; I’m sure a more subtle compact version will pop up sooner than later. The jetpack is said to be for sale and will hit the pocket book costing an astounding $100,000.00. So for now it seems that the rich, military and emergency crew will get first opportunity to fly through the clouds.

What’s your take on the idea of people hovering around the skies? Surely it will be safer than the congested roads. Would you purchase a jetpack to get around? It’s night ideal for grocery shopping or picking up the kids but would be cool to get you around quickly.
